The Aston Martins, Bentleys, Rolls Royces and Ferraris, Jensens, Volvos, Jaguars, and Minis, Fiats, Renaults and Citroens … we were in classic car heaven this weekend at the Classic Car Show at Alexandra Palace.
We were not just admiring the many shiny and already restored masterpieces though. Often it’s the history – the story that goes with the vehicle – that makes it all the more interesting. Speaking of history, we loved the old BBC truck outside the palace. And seeing the AA’s fleet of historic motorcycles with the wooden sidebar boxes was just … well, classic!
Last but not least, what really got our inspiration and creative juices going was all the super cool classic car art. Racer chairs, picture prints, paintings, books, tables … would any of these look good in our garage. Or even better, would our Volvo P1800 look good on any of the print artwork. And even better yet, could our Volvo P1800 be at next year’s show!!
Well for now she’s just come out of the body shop. To see what’s next, watch our ‘Back to the future – part 1” video of our Volvo P1800 restoration project video series.
